Back in 1983, 3D films attempted a resurrection. It wasn't as big as the comeback of the 3D movies today, but it didn't stop the studios from trying. It was mostly horror sequels and low budget science fiction fare. But there was one film that claimed to be the first 3D comedy. Our man of the hour, Steve Guttenberg, stars in The Man Who Wasn't There.

Guttenberg plays a Washington bureaucrat who accidentally gets ahold of an invisibilty potion. This leads to him being the target of both the Russians and Washington higher ups. Even though his life is in danger, he still finds time for highjinks. I guess if there's spies shooting at you, you would still find time to stop by a girls locker room if invisible.

This movie is pretty bad. I never got the opportunity to see it in 3D, but with the exception of the shower scene, I doubt that would have made a difference. Not available on dvd or blu ray, but if you are itching to see the first 3D comedy, it is streaming on Amazon Prime.
