Yesterday, I mentioned the David Bowie/Julien Temple collaberation Jazzin' For Blue Jean. Temple was kind of a go to guy when a musician or band wanted to make the jump from vinyl to the screen. He worked with everybody from Bowie to the Sex Pistols. Mick Jagger loved what he did with Bowie for Blue Jean and had the idea of instead of promoting one song through film, why not a whole album? The result was 1987's Running Out Of Luck.

Jagger plays himself, who goes to Brazil to shoot a music video. While there, the rock star gets kidnapped and forced to work on a prison like banana plantation. He looks to the help of a slave girl, Rae Dawn Chong, to help him break free and get his life back.

This direct to video feature is long music video to promote Jagger's first solo album She's The Boss. That being said, it's a fun ride and the music is great. Jagger is good at playing himself. And his supporting cast, which includes Dennis Hopper, Jim Broadbent, and Jagger's real life girlfriend at the time Jerry Hall, seem to be having fun.

Very hard to find now, but if you are a Jagger fan, it's definately worth a look.
