Blame It On Rio

When most people think of Rio this year, they think of the Olympics or the Zika virus. But for me, I'll always think of it as that magical place where Michael Caine scored with the barely legal Michelle Johnson in 1984's Blame It On Rio.
Two middle aged buddies, Mathew, Michael Caine, and Victor, Joseph Bologna, are heading to Rio with their teenage daughters in tow for a vacation. Victor is recently divorced and Mathew's marriage looks like it could be heading towards that. Victor's daughter Jennifer, Michelle Johnson, has always had a crush on Mathew, and he can't resist the temptation and gives in to her wiles. Mathew doesn't just work up a sweat in the bedroom. He runs himself ragged trying to keep his tryst with Jennifer a secret from his daughter, Demi Moore, wife, Valerie Harper, and especially Victor.

When reading this, you might think that seems like a sleazy film. But in all honesty, it's so zany and comedic that you almost forget about how tawdry it could have been. Caine is a hoot as the mostly flusterated Mathew. And Johnson is just downright sexy. I first saw this when I was 14, and let me say, Ms. Johnson was a big help to my puberty.

I think that this is a fun and sexy picture. It's available on dvd.
